Liturgy and Worship
NEW TIME: Meets the 1st Monday of each month at 4:00 pm in the Parish Center.
Chairperson – Rachelle Haacker
This committee plans, coordinates, implements, and evaluates all liturgies and the celebration of the Sacraments. The committee manages the worship environment and communicates with and educates the parish community, the liturgical ministers and the committee members themselves. Meetings are open to all parishioners and are held August through June.
Art & Environment – This sub-committee of men, women, and youth are responsible for the watering, trimming and removal of any plants (seasonal or permanent) in church. Members are encouraged to participate in the planning for a season by attending the Prayer & Worship committee meetings which would be related to the season of their assignment. Members of this sub-committee are assigned a month and asked to tend to the plants at least weekly during that month. During Ordinary Time, they are responsible for planning and providing plants or other materials or, if desired, purchasing plants. The bill for the plants is to be submitted to the Parish Office.
Eucharistic Adoration – Coordinated at the Tri-Parish Level–
Eucharistic Adoration provides an opportunity for us to acknowledge the divine presence of Christ in the Blessed Sacrament and to spend time praising Him and praying. It can be a time of great spiritual growth. Eucharistic Adoration is offered through our Tri-Parish community of St. Mary, St. Charles, and St. Joseph. Adoration takes place at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Burlington weekdays form 8:00 am to 6:00 p.m. No adoration is observed on
holidays. We are always in need of adorers who are willing to commit to one hour as scheduled.
